The senior play opens at 6:30 p.m. April 29 with a repeat performance the next night. Check Please is about a girl and a boy who go on six dates. Each goes horribly worse than the last!

On the serious side, the play addresses the many struggles that both guys and girls go through on dates, but there is also a fun twist.

The lead roles, the girl and boy, are played by Keyvonnie Nelson and Grant Baker. Both are veterans of the plays produced downtown at Magnolia Arts.

“I’m really excited! I have been in other plays in the past, but this is my first time as one of the leading roles,” said Nelson. “I’m kind of nervous” she later added.

Nelson predicted, “I expect the play to go really well. Everyone in the cast has worked extremely hard memorizing lines and blocking, and we’re all excited to see our hard work pay off on the show nights.

Baker said, “I am very excited for this play. We have been working tirelessly to have it perfect.”

The play will be held in the junior high auditorium both March 29 and 30. Doors open at 6; curtain time is 6:30.
