Swim team celebrates state wins

The boys swim team brought home the 1A-4A state championship from Bentonville Feb. 23. The boys took their won with 246.5 points compared to the runnup-up, Batesville, who earned 234 points.

The Lady Panthers came home the runners-up, scoring 246 points, second only to Clarksville with 265.

Junior Bailey McCook was named an All-State swimmer.

In addition to McCook, swimmers who placed in their events included Logan Riley, Issiah Williams, Carwin Edwards Harrison McWilliams, Hayden Rogers, Zach Cisneros, Emma Ellington, Olivia Ferguson, Natalie Boyd, Lindy Westfall, Liz Wilson, Elise McWilliams, and Leila Dadgar.

Coach Kathleen Dingman admitted the team entered the season as underdogs but said she was extremely proud of all her swimmers.
