The Lady Panthers played a home game Jan. 15 against the Camden Fairview Cardinals and ended with a 55-46 loss. The Lady Panthers now have a 8-7 overall record, 2-2 in conference. The Lady Cardinals are now first in league standings with the Lady Panthers fourth.

Since the Lady Panthers came up short, the players believe that they still have room for improvement. Bradasha Chappel said, “We need to improve on finishing our lay ups and staying focused.”

The girls said they won’t let this loss discourage them, however. Kayleigh Sneed said, “We have great defense, and everyone hustles and gives it their all 100% of the time.” De’Asia Walker added, “I think the team played hard, and we never stopped fighting, no matter what was going on. I’m happy to be a part of a team that’s willing to fight through the tough times.”

The Lady Panthers play Friday, Jan. 18, at home against the Hamburg Lions at 5 p.m.
