The football team will travel to Hot Springs to play the Trojans on Oct. 12. The Panthers lost 38-20 to Camden Fairview at their previous game, making their record now 3-3. This loss was their third straight conference loss, so the Panthers are 0-3 in conference, while the Trojans are 1-2 in conference. Tackle and defensive end Stephon O’Guinn said, “We had some great moments, but we had some bad ones and once we iron out all or most of the bad ones, I believe the game will favor us.”

The team plans to work hard and improve their minor mistakes so that they can win the game. Left tackle Kobe Green said, “Our team needs to anchor down on defense and be more aggressive.”

Green added, “Our team will have to stop trying to fight ourselves and put all our talent on the field, so we can get the win.”

Having three losses hasn’t discouraged the Panthers, however, and they say they are staying positive. Wide receiver Demarion Smith said, “I’m confident in the team, and I know that we’ll perform to the best of our ability to get a victory Friday.”

The game will be at Hot Springs High School at 7 p.m.
