The annual MHS Sadie’s dance will be on Sept. 21 in the cafeteria. It will begin after the football game and end at midnight. The theme of the dance is “Dynamic Duos,” and the ticket price is $6 for one ticket and $10 for two tickets.
The cheerleaders have worked hard to prepare for the dance and are looking forward to it. Cheerleader Claudia Franks said, “We’re all super excited about Sadie’s this year. There’re going to be prizes for best dressed couple and the winners to a lip sync battle and a dance-off. I know it’s going to be great.”
As girls ask guys to the dance, many of them are excited and ready for Sadie’s. Sophomore Jurnee Lowe said, “I feel like Sadie’s will go great. I have heard many good things about it, and I just can’t wait.”
Because of construction going on, this year’s dance is in the cafeteria instead of outside. Senior Autumn Scruggs added, “I’m optimistic about the location change, and think it’ll be gorgeous. Cheer always does great with it, and I’m sure this year will be no different.”
