Mrs. Katy Wright is the new assistant choir director. She grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas, and was involved in the  Oratorio Singers Choir as well as the Madrigals choir during her time there.

Although she has a new job, this isn’t her first time in Magnolia. Wright attended Southern Arkansas University where she majored in Music Education. Wright lived on campus and has strong feelings for Magnolia.

“I love Magnolia!” says  Wright, “It’s like a second home to me because I went to college here and lived in the dormitories. I’m so glad to be working in a town I’m already familiar with. Magnolia has a special place in my heart.” She says she chose to go into teaching because of her strong passion for music and drive to inspire young people to gain that appreciation.
