The volleyball team traveled to Ashdown on Aug. 24 and finished the game with a 3-1 loss. The team’s outstanding effort was displayed throughout the game with players like Kristin Smith having 13 digs and Kayleigh Sneed and Lauren Chambliss both having 9 digs. Sneed said, “I wish we could have won, but you can’t win them all. We will just fix our mistakes and work harder next time.” Senior Tiffany Erwin added, “We excel at our communication skills and that helped us, but we need to keep our heads up when we lose a single point.”

The Lady Panthers had another match on Aug. 28 against Hooks in Panther Arena. The Lady Panthers won the game 3-0. They won every set with scores of 25-22, 26-16, and 25-15. Senior Callie Barnett said, “I think we work really well as a team, and we do our best to encourage each other and keep our spirits up. I think we’ll have a really successful season if we keep it up.”

The next game is scheduled for Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. at McClellan High School, Little Rock.
