Seven students from Magnolia High School went to the “All Systems Go” EAST Conference in Hot Springs March 13-15.  While in Hot Springs MHS students showcased their accomplishments and projects from throughout the year. Abbie Jolly, said “We learned a lot of things from other schools that we can take back to our community.”

Students who attended report that Timothy Ziglar’s project, a re-designed floorplan for CCAPs, the animal shelter, drew attention from one of the judges who wanted to help with funding to implement his project.

Another MHS junior, Shemar Easter, received an award medallion labelled as the Student Difference Maker Award for his actions in the community. Easter’s projects included working on grants to get a swing for handicapped children at Eastside Park and another that would pay for new water fountains at MHS that could be used to fill water bottles.
