Prom season is here and many of the girls on the MHS campus are preparing by getting their prom dress, one of the most exciting parts of senior year for some people. Most girls have dreamed for years about the perfect prom dress and it is finally becoming a reality as people begin to shop for their senior prom.

Some people get lucky and find their dress right off; however, finding the perfect dress takes longer for others. Mikayla Sandusky, senior, said, “I looked for a while, but I finally found the perfect dress. I can’t wait for everyone to see it at prom.” Madalynn Vann, however, said, “I fell in love with the first dress I tried on and ended up getting it.” Whichever side you are on, finding the perfect dress is something that is different for everyone. Grace Basinger said, “I have three dresses to choose from now because my first one didn’t come as expected.”

Another major factor in dress shopping is where to shop. Girls in our school have traveled all across the south to find the perfect dress. Kendall McMahen said, “I went to Sloan’s in Shreveport while visiting family and found my dress.” However, and informal poll indicates the most visited place has been Buffie’s All the Rage in Little Rock with the most popular dress designer being Sherri Hill.

Regardless of where the dress was bought or what the dress looks like, this year’s prom will definitely be one to remember for each person who comes through the doors.
