The baseball team won the Ralph Gross Invitational Tournament in Nashville March 3 for the third year in a row. Panthers won the first game against Horatio 4-0. The second game, played on Saturday against Mayflower, ended with a score of 3-1, allowing the Panthers to advance to the final game Saturday night. For the championship game, the Panthers beat the Nashville Scrappers 1-0. Connor Harrington, Garrett Clark, and Payton Campbell  pitched the final game. A home run from Campbell scored the only run. These wins had the Panthers at 3-0 for the season.

Four players were awarded the All Tournament Team: Connor Harrington, Dale Drake, Adam Pieratt, and Halen Sanders. Sanders was also awarded the MVP award because he pitched a no-hitter in the first game, striking out 17 batters while only giving up two walks in a 4-0 win. Sanders was also 2-2 at the plate with an RBI.

Team member Peyton Carter said, “The first games were very stressful I will admit, but I think we work best under pressure. We work really hard together.”
