At the state swim meet Feb. 24, the girls’ team placed 5th among 1A-5A schools and the boys’ team placed 7th.

Swimmers had to earn certain times during the regular season to qualify for the state meet. The swimmers who qualified to compete at state included Amya Reeves, Natalie Boyd, Madi Vann, Rylee Barnett, Hayden Rogers, Bailey McCook, Braden Green, Ella Williams, Elise McWilliams, Abbie Young, Emma Grace Ellington, Liz Wilson, Logan Riley, and Carwin Edwards.

Young said, “Everyone did amazing. So many people made new records on their time.”

Kaitlyn Disedare, junior swimmer, said, “Although I didn’t qualify for state, I supported my team by watching the live stream and yelling at them through the phone. I am so proud of my team.”
