Students were told not to park in front of the school last week to accommodate crews who were supposed to be paving the parking spaces there, but then no one showed up. Asked to explain what happened, Ms. Aryee said, “The company [hired to do the paving] called the school and said the procedure would be postponed to next Thursday.” That delay hasn’t been announced yet, but when the office does, drivers are given the right to park next to the stadium or near the old superintendent’s building. The money to pay for the paving was officially approved due by voters in the September election. As a quick head’s up, Magnolians will see several projects in the coming months, according to Ms. Aryee. For example, voters in September also approved building a 9th grade school out by the high school softball field.
