The new National Honor Society candidates from MHS were officially inducted into the local chapter Oct. 23. These students will wear special chords at the 2018 graduation ceremony showing they have achieved this high honor.

Parents, family members, and close friends were invited to watch the inductees receive their certificates and pins, as well as to listen to the newly elected NHS officers give speeches on the four qualities of NHS members: scholarship, leadership, character and service. New member, Mikayla Sandusky stated, “The speakers did very well. It was a great ceremony.”

The ceremony concluded with a word of advice from Principal Carter and was followed by a celebration of cupcakes and punch along with many pictures of proud students and parents.
