The marching band will give their full competition performance in full dress uniform at Friday’s home game Sept. 29. As a result, the practice schedule has been rigorous. Band member Koesha Davis reported, “It’s humid and hot, but we still be out practicing. We get our drill sheets, learn our parts, and continuously run the drill until it’s better and better each time. We work hard to lead up to Friday.” Band director David Stuart told the band, “You shouldn’t be nervous because we’ve literally worked all year for the occasion.” Marchers have to memorize the music. This year’s halftime show features a number of soloists. The theme for this year’s show is “iBand” as the show starts out with some techno sounds.
