For the first time ever, 40 students who wanted to cheer on the Panthers rode to a football game Sept. 15 on a school-sponsored bus. The bus took 40 students to El Dorado. They sat in the stands near the band and cheered with the cheerleaders.

To ride the bus, students had to be the first to sign up and not have any discipline reports.

The student council sponsor, Mrs. Waters, arranged for the bus and rode it with the students. After the game, she said the trip was a success, sending out an email that stated, “Our Panther students showed integrity and behaved with utmost respect while representing our school. They cheered hard and loud as they promoted our #Pantherstrong spirit!”

She also said,” I have never been more proud of a group of young people and looking forward to continuing this spirit opportunity.”

She added that she is considering sponsoring another bus to another game.
