Panther football is working hard to come home from El Dorado Sept. 15 with a win. After last week’s 28-27 upset to the Monticello Billies, players say they have been practicing hard. Interviewed recently, Stephen O’Guinn said, “We’ve had very physical practices this week.” O’Guinn added that he agrees with the philosophy that “you play like you practice.

Kayden Roach said the Panthers have been “looking at different fronts the El Dorado defense has, and finding ways around it.”

Terry Lambert agreed. “We’ve been working offensively and defensively at El Dorado’s styles and fronts on both sides of the ball, trying to improve on our technique and skill.”

O’Guinn summed it up, saying “As a team we need to learn how to use our mistakes and learn from them and realize that these mistakes are going to be made so be ready for them.” Kickoff is 7 p.m..
