The Panther football team is prepared to play their first conference game of the season this Sept. 23 at Panther Stadium. The Panthers begin conference with a big goal on their mind — the playoffs. The last time Magnolia football made the playoffs was a long 6 years ago in 2010. Although it may have been long, many believe this year’s Panthers will end the drought. The chances this year look better than ever to make a playoff appearance. With a heavy senior class, a strong defense, and explosive offense, I believe the Panthers could end the drought and make the playoffs. Before any of that happens, they have to focus on one game at a time. The Panthers will look to win the first conference game of the season at home. Kickoff is set for 7:00.
