The latest Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has had tremendous success at the box office. The newest installment was released at least a decade after its prequels, leaving fans wondering what is going on in the galaxy. One of the film’s claims to fame is the secrecy of its plot. With that being said, it has become an unwritten code among fans that spoilers are not to be released in order to allow everyone to enjoy the film. Therefore, this review looks at the film as a whole. The introduction of new characters and the reprising roles of old foes give the new Star Wars movie a taste of nostalgia, but a fresh look on the current events in the galaxy. The special effects are more advanced than that of the older movies, but still resemble the same shots and beloved fighting scenes between out-of-this-world spaceships. I have not seen many of the old films, but the new Star Wars movie is easy to follow and recommended for new fans and long time enthusiasts.
